Teacher Professional Development

STEM River provides professional development opportunities to teachers to facilitate more deliberate discussions about data and information at earlier ages. Developing a discerning eye on data and information will help the next generation thrive in this data driven world.

We offer two levels of professional development: high school and elementary school.

Bring more deliberate conversation around data and information categorizing, parsing, and decision making
Build toolboxes to make deliberate assessments of the information you use
Develop a discerning eye on data and information
Provide hands-on learning experiences

What You Need to Complete a STEM River Data Science Adventure

We have deliberately kept the tools needed for these experiences simple and accessible. The most common tools are:

A sense of adventure
A drive to expand your and/or your students' data skills
A computer (high school age and above)
Access to Google Workspace (free with a Google account) and the internet (high school age and above)
