"The course introduced me to both the Google environment and how you can use spreadsheets and data in your daily life.  I learned how to navigate the Google drive environment to include creating and editing spreadsheets.  On any device you can access your documents and spreadsheets is such an advantage. Upon obtaining this skill set, I was able to create documents to track various information and display it in a graph. There are so many graph types I was unaware of.  Bars and lines don't always best present the data efficiently and effectively, so learning so many different types and how they help you analyze the data to better help you organize and manage your routines and life is invaluable.

"We’ve had so much fun exploring the elementary education modules in different environments. From our home to the library, the grocery store to camping in the desert, our son has been learning about the world around us in ways that are accessible, fun, and collaborative. Thanks STEM River!"

"As a new homeschooling mom with three boys between 7 and 11, I was hunting for a STEM curriculum that wouldn't feel like a one-size-fits-all hassle. STEM River ended up being just what we needed.  We found that it focused on building those key data skills in a way that's hands-on and actually fun, like turning lessons into little family adventures.  The best part for me was how flexible it is with different ages.

I ran the lessons with all three boys together, and it adapted super easily to where each one was at. The activities build on each other naturally, so they're reusing skills like gathering and sorting data from one thing to the next, which really helps it stick.  Take the favorite foods lesson, for example—the kids collected info on what they like to eat, then we got into grouping and spotting patterns. My oldest stepped up and helped the younger ones figure it out, making it this cool team effort. And that first library activity? It got them comfy with the place right away, so now any follow-up library stuff is no big deal—they dive right in.

All in all, we found the boys bouncing ideas off each other while picking up real STEM basics like organizing and showing data.  Thank you STEM River!"
